Architecture Lecture Series Steven Ehrlich, FAIA, RIBA, a self-proclaimed “architectural anthropologist,” learned early on the significance of how architecture responds to culture and the environment. After Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Steven spent six years living and working in Africa, serving two years in the Peace Corps in Marrakech, Morocco and later taught architecture in Nigeria. Ehrlich is a Visiting Professor at USC and has taught at UCLA, SCI-Arc and Kansas State University, also serving as a guest critic at Harvard, Arizona State University and Yale. He is the recipient of the 2015 AIA Los Angeles Gold Medal Award, and Ehrlich Architects is the recipient of the 2015 AIA National Architecture Firm Award.
