John Gillow, author, lecturer, traveler, and collector, has spent more than 40 years collecting the folk textiles of Asia and Africa. He has written a series of seminal books on World Textiles and the textiles of India, Indonesia and Africa. He lectures world-wide. “Textiles of the Islamic World” published by Thames and Hudson is his latest book. John will be lecturing on “Textiles of the Islamic World” followed by a handling session of antique textiles from Asia and Africa.
