Architecture Lecture Series Chava Danielson, AIA, and Eric Haas, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, DSH//Architecture Los Angeles-based architects will speak about their rehabilitation and restoration projects including buildings by Schindler and Welton Becket, as well as other recent work. The rehabilitation of Rudolf Schindler’s Bubeshko Apartments in Silverlake has won the firm many awards for their approach to this well-known work. The architects worked with one of the original owners and the new owner, as well as with Schindler’s original drawings and files. This project balances the historic configurations and palette of materials with modern needs matched to a budget. Another important project is the renovation of a 1957 Welton Belton Life Insurance office building complete with a curtain wall and brise-soleil into the new and growing Larchmont Charter High School in the Westlake district of Los Angeles.
