Art History Lessons and Crafts for Kids (Spring 2022)
The UCSB Art, Design & Architecture Museum undergraduate interns enrolled in the Education and Outreach Program (EOP) work in partnership with Goleta Union School District's Expanded Learning Program to teach after-school art and art history lessons to kindergarten classes at Isla Vista Elementary.
These seven lessons highlight various movements and techniques from environmental art and murals to exploring artists such as Hilma af Klint, Wayne Thiebaud, and Georgia O'Keeffe! Each lesson was created and taught by our 2022 Museum Interns: Miranda Konkoly ('22), Baily Ludwick ('23), Tatiana Rodriguez ('22), and Sarah Patton ('22) with support from EOP Coordinator Iman Salty. Activities and instructions are included and can be completed with simple craft materials.
